I'm the tenth of thirteen children, with eight of my nine older siblings being brothers. You can imagine how hard that made dating in high school.

I'm a nerd. But not the cool kind of nerd who knows everything about Marvel movies. I'm the kind that studied philosophy and spends time working on Excel spreadsheets. I have BA in Philosophy from BYU and worked for several years as a senior director of student services at a private university. In fact, I was even part of a national ad campaign, and at one time, my friends used to take pictures of places they saw my face on billboards. Let me tell you, freckles on a five foot six me look cute. Freckles on a 56 foot me?

I love travel and good food (and trying gross food in the name of adventure--I'm looking at you, haggis). I view speaking in accents as a natural part of life (and, yes, my husband adores me in spite of that. Or because of that, probably, because it's awesome!).

If you broke me down to my component parts, I'm pretty sure you would find Jane Austen's complete works, the Sandra Bullock movie The Proposal, and the song Groove is in the Heart by Dee-Lite.

I run on fumes, swoons, and caffeine. But as much as I love McDonald's Diet Coke, I love my adorable husband, four delightful(ly maddening) kids, and Jesus even more.
